Dark Planet: Battle for Natrolis focuses on the inter-galactic conflict between three races: the Colonists, Dreil and Sorin. The Colonists are in fact human beings who have come to pillage the planet of its resources. The Sorin are a noble race of lizard-like creatures who want nothing more than to protect their homeworld, and the Dreil are indigenous creatures whose slumber was disturbed when the conflict between the two aforementioned races broke out, and who have now decided to feast on the two warring factions.
